Overview
The cost effective Episiotomy Trainer is designed for classroom training and aids in building confidence performing episiotomies.
Trainees can use the Limbs & Things’ Episiotomy Trainer to practice widening the vaginal opening, using safe practices to protect the infant’s head as it crowns. Episiotomies may be necessary in several birthing scenarios, including:
Foetal distress.
Forcep or ventouse suction deliveries.
Breech births.
Prolonged labour.
Hastening delivery due to the mother’s health.
Reduce the chance of severe perineal tears (fourth degree tears).
Combining the pad design and presenting foetal head, gives repeatable episiotomy training. With rotatable Episiotomy Pads and repairs with the included tape between procedures, the life span of the pads can be doubled.
